What to do when a domain has expired

An expired domain needs prompt attention. Recovery depends on the extension and its current status.

Before you start

Recovery is not guaranteed and extra fees may apply. There is no single grace period for every extension.

What to do

  1. Check the exact domain, expiry date and unpaid renewal invoice in your portal.
  2. If ordinary renewal is offered, review the amount and renew promptly.
  3. If renewal is unavailable or the domain is in redemption, request a recovery quote through support.
  4. Keep the registered contact inbox available for verification.
  5. After recovery, confirm the updated expiry date and test website and email access.

Check the result

The registration should return to an active state. Cached DNS can take additional time to recover.

If you need a hand

Ask us to check the registration first; a failed website does not mean all website files were deleted.

Open a support request. Include the affected domain and what you tried. Leave out passwords, full payment details, and private keys.
