How to back up a website using Softaculous

Create a recovery point before changing your website.

What to do

  1. Find the correct site under Softaculous > All Installations.
  2. Choose Backup and include files and the database where offered.
  3. Add a description identifying the reason.
  4. Wait for successful completion before changing the site.
  5. Check Backups and Restore and download a private copy if needed.

Check the result

Confirm the archive covers the data you need and storage is available.

If you need a hand

An application backup may not include mailboxes or unrelated sites. Ask about importing an unlisted installation or another backup method.

Open a support request. Include the affected domain and what you tried. Leave out passwords, full payment details, and private keys.
