Before you start
You need enough free storage to create the archive. Ask us if this feature is unavailable. This manual user-level backup is not a scheduled backup.
What to do
- Sign in to DirectAdmin at user level and open Create/Restore Backups or Site Backup. The menu location can vary.
- Select what you need to protect: website files, databases, email or other available account data. For a fuller account copy, review all available selections.
- Start Create Backup once and wait for the completion notification.
- Find the completed archive in the backups folder or the download link provided. Download it to a secure location outside your hosting account.
Check the result
Check that the archive downloaded and has a recent date. Store it securely: it may contain email and account information.
