How to reset a forgotten WordPress password

Recover access to your own website without changing your hosting password.

What to do

  1. Open your website login page and select Lost your password?
  2. Enter its WordPress username or email and follow the reset message.
  3. If email fails, find the correct installation in Softaculous > WordPress Manager.
  4. Use its password-change action for the intended user where available.
  5. Verify login and update your password manager.

Check the correct user and installation before resetting.

If you need a hand

Ask support if the tool is unavailable. Use your custom login URL if a plugin changed it; our company /login is not every client website login.

Open a support request. Include the affected domain and what you tried. Leave out passwords, full payment details, and private keys.
