Decide whether your app belongs on your main domain, a subdomain or a folder.
Before you start
Check for an existing website before installing anything. A second app needs its own location.
What to do
- Use your main domain for the website visitors should see first. Leave In Directory empty only if that location has no existing website.
- Use a folder such as gallery for a separate app at yourdomain.ca/gallery. Enter the folder name without a leading slash.
- For a subdomain such as photos.yourdomain.ca, create it in DirectAdmin first, connect its DNS and certificate, then select it in Softaculous.
- Confirm the final address shown by the installer before installing.
Check the result
Visit the chosen address after installation. Moving an app later can require changes to its settings and database; ask us before dragging folders around.
