Give your installed app a regular backup routine.
Before you start
App backups cover that installation, not your entire hosting account or email. Older scheduled copies may be removed as the rotation fills up.
What to do
- Open Softaculous and find your app in All Installations.
- Choose Edit Details and look for Automated Backups. If that setting is not available, ask us about your backup options.
- Choose a frequency that fits how often your content changes and a backup rotation that fits your storage. Rotation limits how many scheduled backups are kept.
- Select an available backup location and save the installation details.
- After the first scheduled run, check that the backup exists and download a copy to separate storage.
Check the result
Check the date of your latest backup regularly. A saved schedule alone does not prove that backups are completing.
