What to do when a Softaculous installation fails

A failed install usually needs a quick check rather than repeated attempts.

What to do

  1. Copy the exact error message and note the app, domain and folder you selected.
  2. Check that the destination is empty, your account has storage available and the domain is added to DirectAdmin.
  3. If the message mentions PHP or another requirement, ask us to check compatibility before changing settings that could affect your existing website.
  4. If an installation partly completed, contact us before removing files or creating another installation in the same location.

Check the result

Share the details with support so we can help you choose the next step. Never send administrator passwords in the error report.

If you need a hand

Open a support request with your domain and the message you see. Please leave out passwords and private account information.
