How to reset a forgotten email password

Reset a mailbox password through the hosting panel.

What to do

  1. Sign in to DirectAdmin with hosting credentials.
  2. Select the domain and open E-mail Accounts.
  3. Find the mailbox and choose its edit or password action.
  4. Set and save a strong replacement password.
  5. Update the saved password in all mail apps using that mailbox.

Check the result

Sign in to webmail with the full address and new password; messages should remain.

If you need a hand

If you cannot access DirectAdmin, request account recovery through support. The mailbox and hosting passwords are separate.

Open a support request. Include the affected domain and what you tried. Leave out passwords, full payment details, and private keys.
