How to check DNS changes without chasing cached results

Different networks can show different answers while cached DNS expires.

What to do

  1. Record the change, provider and previous TTL where known.
  2. Confirm you edited the authoritative DNS provider.
  3. Compare the affected hostname on another network.
  4. Allow for cache lifetimes; nameserver changes can take longer.
  5. Ask support to review the specific record before repeatedly changing it.

Check the result

Check the DNS value separately from a cached webpage.

If you need a hand

Incorrect AAAA records can affect visitors even when A records are correct. There is no universal fixed propagation time.

Open a support request. Include the affected domain and what you tried. Leave out passwords, full payment details, and private keys.
