How to clear website and browser caches

Refresh the right cache when an older page keeps appearing.

What to do

  1. Compare the page in a private browser window.
  2. Purge the affected page in your WordPress cache plugin.
  3. Purge the URL at your CDN too, if you use one.
  4. Clear browser cached files for the site and reload.
  5. Test logged out and on another device.

Check the result

Check that ordinary visitors see the change.

If you need a hand

Confirm you edited the live site rather than staging. DNS and page caches are different; changing DNS does not refresh a cached page.

Open a support request. Include the affected domain and what you tried. Leave out passwords, full payment details, and private keys.
